La Kinkerne

Jean-Marc Jacquier

Learned the accordeon at the age of nine. Played trombone in the town band of Ville-la-Grand, where he still lives; first tasted the joys of jazz in a dixieland band in Geneva.

Is interested in all traditional musics, especially in the music of his region. Has worked and traveled in Latin America, Japan, and many other places as well...

Plays the accordeon, Alp horn, champourgne and hurdy-gurdy.

He likes vacherin d'abondance, le sérac de chèvre, (cheeses), l'Ayse, la Mondeuse, (local wines) la Williamine (local pear brandy) and longeolles.
